Illyana's eyes looked over to the cell phone and the message that would have been sent to Lilith and Charion. She had no way of knowing if what he said was true or not. Up until that point, at least within her memory, she had decided to live her life as if she was starting over. She was still her and her younger mind was saddened with the realization she couldn't go home without stumbling upon information she had chosen to treat as future knowledge. But this was different. Clearly something happened. Something that was beyond her control and more than just Oghma giving her a weird feeling while within the realm. Hesitantly she'd reach up and press the send button. She'd clear her throat.
"I cannae control a situation without knowledge. If I do nothing, then I chose tae allow... whatever this be... tae happen. I'm nae one tae sit idly by."
It was the same reasoning that Queen Eabha had used to convince her to study magics under the Royal Gorias mages. There was burgeoning power within her, they had detected, and strongly urged her to learn more if for no other reason, than to control it. She had only remembered that a moment ago.
A few moments later Sunfire's phone would buzz. Lilith had responded.
*I will message you as soon as we are able to head your way.*

Balthaxar ferociously nibbled a piece of sashimi. They had been back in Oghma for a day or two, with little to no sign of Sunfire, the Nidavellir group, or even Tres. In the McCarrion Estate dining room, Charion sat on a backwards chair, crossing her arms. "'Tis food fabricator sushi, which when I used tae have taste buds is probably a step above food court sushi; 'tis many levels above gas station sushi."
"Fish is fish, bish." Balty spoke as he wolfed down a large chunk of tuna. "I'd prolly eat this if it swam out of the damn sewer."
Charion raised an eyebrow. That could be arranged. She had been living vicariously through Balty and his weird cravings. Even though it was mostly fish and poultry. And sometimes yak milk, which would make Balty yack... milk. Not everything Charion witnessed made her miss food.
They had spent the time reminiscing and playing board games. Balthaxar turned out to be a fairly decent poker player, although he was forced to smoke his cigars outdoors. Charion had raided her sister's closet, looking to borrow a few things, as her own wardrobe was slightly lacking. She wouldn't wear clothes, if she didn't have to. She nodded to herself. "We must think of the children!" Balthaxar, on the other hand, spent his time climbing up on furniture and doing odd cat things, and then he would sit in a chair and do sentient things like read the paper. Lilith let them be for the most part, but had kept the communications channels open.
Charion stood up, suddenly. She collapsed to the ground. "Whoa."
Balty's tail curved into a question mark as he ran across the couch. "What's wrong, Char?"
She forced herself up, straining to keep her balance. Another moment passed, and she stood up, and wiped away a few tears. "I think I am fine now. "Twas a sharp ping of incredible guilt that washed over me." She shuddered. "I cannae imagine what that was about."
Balty squinted. "You sure you ok? Should I get Lilith to give you the ol' once over?"
Charion closed her eyes. "No, tis' passed. 'Twas not a physical attack. But for only a moment... across the dimensions I sensed my other."
Balty stretched and blinked, only mildly confused. "Your other? You mean that Dos Trois Boy Toy special #3 on the menu gray hulk looking motherfucker?"
"Well not exactly, but you remember his old form. He goes by Tres now, and he has my old body. I have never felt that kind of raw emotion before, especially coming from him." Charion shifted, making herself more comfortable in the chair. "All jokes aside, 'tis troubling."
"Everything that happens when a McCarrion is around is usually troubling."
Charion frowned. "Hey now. Knock it off."
Balty grinned. "Fine. I get catty when I'm bored. I think we should go check on Lil', maybe see what she thinks about this before we head anywhere else.
Charion nodded in silence, thinking of all of the stinky Terran/Norwegian fish recipes she knew. She looked up, and a smile returned to her face.

Lilith had remained within Oghma for the last couple of days before she received the text from Seraphina.
**We're in Manhattan. Checking in on the club then dinner. We have information from Cairo to share, let me know when you get this so we can check in.*
Lilith found herself equal parts impressed and curious Sera and Nate had managed to pull anything new out of the desert. She had responded and arrangements were made to meet them at their penthouse. After all, it had been some time since she had checked into her own condo in the city that never sleeps. Perhaps an hour later, a second text from her daughter.
*Mom. Sorry this is last minute. Something came up and we had to leave Manhattan. Please do not go by the penthouse. We won't be there. I'll talk to you later.*
Lilith would only shake her head and slide her phone back in her pocket. The girl wasn't getting the rest she needed but she wouldn't pry. Not 30 minutes later her phone would buzz again. She frowned, remembering now why cellular communications had been cut off from Terra. The time lag often caused texts to come back to back and it was annoying. Once more the darkling Fae would slip the phone out of her pocket. This time it was from Sunfire.
"The 9th avatar and I are at my home in Africa. Come when you can, there is much to discuss."
She noted their cousin had also sent the text to Charion. A smirk would cross her lips, wondering if Charion even knew where their phone was. She'd walk to the dining room, walking in to catch Balthaxar's last comment to Charion.
"What is it you need my opinion on? And Charion, did you see your phone? Our presence is requested in Terra's Africa. When can you be ready?"

He would smile warmly, taking the phone back and nodding.
"Circumstances are beyond our control - but our conduct is ever only within our own power."
He would press a hand gently to her shoulder, then take a deep breath. He rarely got the rest he required, much less desired, but with a snap of his fingers his clothes shimmered into a white dress shirt and khaki pants. Rolling up his cuffs, he pulled a pair of readers out of the air and rest them on his nose. Pulling his silver hair back into a pony tail, he moved downstairs.
He had company to prepare for. Hopefully his good cousin would remember his sword. He'd been without it too long, and he feared it might be hungry.

"Aye."
Illyana would frown, but look up to offer a soft smile to Sunfire as he gave her shoulder a squeeze. Then she'd watch as he exited her room. She'd sigh, pulling her knees up to her chest and resting her head against them. These new memories were horrible. Not to say they were bad, but the emotions that came with them coupled with current knowledge was very raw. What was the name of the man Dana Realta was looking for? It certainly wasn't the name currently on her mind and in her heart. Current knowledge told her that person was no longer in the picture, which meant something happened and it was depressing her beyond her control.
Zella had been downstairs for some time. She had contemplated just throwing away the uneaten nigiri but though it better not to let it go to waste. Instead she scooped up the remaining bits of raw fish, leaving the rice to throw away, and took it outside to the beach for the seagulls. The birds instantly flocked to the area at the smell of a potential meal and one of them became a little too aggressive for her liking. With inhuman ease her hand would snatch the bird out of the sky as it went in for a dive bomb. She'd hold it out from her as it flapped wildly in fear and it was that bird's fear that kept the others at a safe distance as they followed behind. Once she felt appropriately far enough away from the house, she'd toss the bits of meat onto the beach and release the aggressive bird to feed with the others.
Her gaze would lift as she neared the house and caught sight of her Father wandering around downstairs with a fresh pair of clothes on. She would just shake her head. She would start in as soon as her feet crossed the threshold.
"If you are finished checking in on Illyana then you should be resting. I can tell you are exhausted. I am cleaning this area. Tell me what else you need done and I'll see to it."
Her tone was very matter of fact and left no room for rebuttal, though she had a feeling she would get one any way.

Balthaxar had started to groom himself, a few seconds before Lilith entered the room. He looked up at her with a blep. "What?"
Charion straightened. "My other has done something he believes is terrible, even for him. I donnae know what has happened, but it awoke an emotional link." She paused. "And...'tis been months sense I have felt anything from him. Three months with nothing, and now this."
Balty began to "make biscuits" on a couch cushion, digging his long claws into the fabric. "Thing is... it seemed to affect... Eh... One sec. It seemed to affect Charion... It almost made Charion... Ahem. It almost made Charion pass out."
She looked at him. "No, it nae be like that. I just had a massive amount of grief wash over me... and guilt. Like I had failed in something that was extremely important tae me." She tightened her lips. "'Tis like nothing I have ever felt before. 'Twas overwhelming!"
Charion adjusted in her chair, turning it around so she could sit properly.
Balthy gave Lilith a toothy grin. "Well she doubled over like she had a few too many fish tacos, anyway."
"True. 'Twas tears shed. But no pain in the physical sense. I donnae think 'twas an attack of any kind." Charion closed her eyes in thought. "Best not speculate too much. My other is manipulative and ruthless. He will stoop tae any level tae wreak havoc on anyone he thinks has crossed him, and I doubt he will ever find peace in any realm. Even when he gets what he wants, he just donnae stop."
The infernal Cait Sidhe curled up on the sofa and yawned. "Aaaaaaaaheneyway...Hey Char. Did you remember to charge your phone?"
She picked it up off of the dining room table, and the screen was pitch black. "Seeing that I seem tae forget I even have the damn thing... Nae. I dinnae charge it, cat."
"Well, ugh. Hey! What's up Lil'?" Balty grinned.
Charion smirked. "We can leave tonight, if ye can find me a decent wide brimmed hat for the journey."

Lilith looked between Charion and Balthaxar, listening as Charion described her feelings.
"So our Brother had a moment of guilt so strong that it transferred to you?" She pondered that a moment then nodded. "Interesting."
She moved into the room and idly reached out to scratch Balty behind the ear.
"Our cousin has taken Illyana to his home in Africa. I'm assuming something has happened since he has things to discuss."
She'd scratch under the Cat Sidhe's chin, wondering how he ended up in the ring when he was supposed to be guarding the gateway to Oghma. It was hard to tell really. But it was good to have the dark creature back.
"If you do require a hat, I am betting we can find one. I think Mother has one."

He would look to his daughter with a light chuckle, shaking his head. Less than a day in the house and she'd witnessed mass execution, another guest go through a magical seizure, and her mother turning into an infernal hellcat. And here she was worrying about tidying up and his well being. Looking at her over his readers, he would smile.
"I appreciate your concern, Zella, but I'm fine. I have a warzone to clean up before the authorities decide to investigate and my Cousins are no doubt inbound from wherever they are inbound from. I appreciate you tidying up and your concern, but I've had far worse."
He would stroll outside, turning to the sun and smiling as he soaked in its rays. Solavi was almost directly in line and there would be a thrum of power as he connected to it. Turning to the carnage, he'd motion and the bodies would desiccate into dust and fresh lilacs and orchids would bloom in their place. moving his hands towards himself, all the shells and armaments would magnetize and float before him in a swirling ball. Superheating, they would melt into their components, even as the munitions exploded due to the heat. The kinetic energy they released would be absorbed into the process, and as the metal flowed in a giant glob, he would start to compress it. Pulling his hands apart, it would form several stakes, and he would drive them into the ground one after the other, burying them. He had no need for them presently, but it always helped to have raw materials on hand where they could not be stolen or confiscated. Lastly he would wave his hand and the clothing on the corpses would unravel, then re-weave into a giant ream of cloth. Floating towards the storage shed, it put itself away nicely. Nodding at the landscaping, he felt reasonably sure it was an upgrade. Moving to his favorite chair on the porch, he pulled out a cigar and lit it up, waiting quietly for Lilith and Charion to arrive.

Charion had apparently been serious when she said she would leave tonight if Lilith could find her a decent wide brimmed hat. For Charion would not move until their sister found the item in question. The darkling fae grumbled, going into the house that their parents had lived within and made her way into the bedroom. She was certain her Mother had a wide brimmed hat, she easily recalled seeing a picture her Father carried around of their Mother wearing it. After a moment or two, she'd stalk back down to where Charion sat with Baltaxar, handing the wide brimmed straw sun hat with the bright floral printed cloth tied about it over.
"Your hat. Can we leave now. Every minute here is three minutes in Terra. I hate to keep our cousin waiting."
Once Charion had secured the hat upon her head with a smile Lilith would go ahead and teleport them, cloaking the entire area in shadows and taking Charion, but not the chair she was sitting upon, to Africa. They would appear upon the beach this time, far out from the house near where the water broke upon the sand. There she would wait, hands clasped before her in as non-threatening a manner as she was able to provide. She could only hope her sibling would be polite as well until they were invited in.
Zella had continued to clean the house even has her Father went about cleaning up the front lawn. She hadn't gone out to watch thought curiosity beckoned her to do so. She had wondered if she overstepped by insinuating he needed rest. She probably worried over nothing and she'd continue to pick up here and there in an already tidy house. Mostly it was this programmed need to be useful. To always be helpful and do good for others. Everyone here seemed pretty capable in their own right and she wondered what her purpose for being found now could even be.
Her thoughts would be interrupted however as she sensed strangers outside the home. Two women it appeared, standing openly at the end of the beach. She had smelled them right away seeing as they were standing upwind and she had to believe that was on purpose. She'd look up and over to the stairs where Puma now sat. She did not seem pleased.
"Ya Father's cousins. No need ta' concern yaself sweetie. Ah'm sure he'll be along shortly ta' invite them in. Ah'm not gonna be th' one ta' do it."

Charion blinked, as the chair below her disappeared. She did not have time to change clothing, as her sister seemed to have assumed a few things. She was dressed in a form fitting uniform with shiny buckles, none of which were clasping together correctly. She had large hoop earrings and her newly acquired straw hat had been outfitted with pink and blue carnations. As she stood, she placed her hands on her hips and looked around for Balthaxar. Instead, she saw Lilith behind a fashionable pair of sunglasses. "Great job. Ye had all of creation tae teleport us, and ye just cannae help yeself. More fucking sand."
Balthaxar had shifted into a sphinx cat as he materialized a few moments later. "Whoooooooohoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I get to be naaaaaaaked all the time!"
Charion shook her finger. "Tsk. tsk. Yes, Balty. Ye get tae be naked, but I told ye could come along under the condition that ye donnae get tae talk until we need ye tae." She scrunched her nose. "Just be a cat for now, and keep a low profile."
Balty stared at his belly rolls. "But who doesn't want to see.... this?" He nudged his bulging tummy.
"Naebody." Charion glanced at Lilith with a slight scowl as she diverted her attention to her gear, which was now sprawled at the bottom of a sand dune. She spent several minutes trying to gather it.
Meanwhile, Balty meandered towards the beach house, as he had heard a few voices nearby. He looked up and scurried back.
"Uh...hey kids, when you're done building sandcastles, I thought you should know one of your dad's oldest enemies is nearby, and I doubt she's gonna serve us iced tea. We need to beat feet!"
Charion eventually made it to the rickety gate, dragging a large trunk of clothing behind her. She had not intended in taking this piece of luggage with her, but now was stuck with it. She had sensed Puma. "Balty. We've been over this. She's family, regardless of her misgivings about him. Sure, we donnae sing songs around a campfire, but 'tis a mutual understanding." She gave Lilith the side eye. "I wonder if Puma is here tae help with the avatars?" She lowered her massive sunglasses to get a better view of the back porch. "Because we know she sure as hell cannae be here for father. And yes, I know she may feel obliged to assist her extended family, even if it be for Sunfire alone."

Lilith would turn her jade green eyes in Charion's direction, watching as she pulled down those Audrey Hepburn sunglasses and gripe about the sand. A small smile would quirk to her lips before turning her eyes back to the house. In truth she had hoped by pulling the chair out from under her she would end up sitting in the sand. But she supposed it was as difficult to get the drop on Charion as it was herself.
Balthaxar would appear moment's later. Lilith's eyes narrowed as she observed his lack of hair with the arch of a brow. She'd look back and forth between the two as they chatted back and forth and Charion fussed with a bag. The darkling fae would just sigh, reaching up to pinch between her brows. This was her punishment for assuming things. For assuming Charion understood this was not so much a vacation as it was just a meeting with their cousin to discuss their Mother. Or at least, the Avatar he had been taking care of for them. Certainly Charion had not forgotten that one.
"Balthaxar. Charion. Do not be rude. Puma is here because she lives here and we will wait until we're invited inside. Besides Balty, Puma is.... feline in nature. You may get along."
She'd give the Cat Sidhe a look as his naked ass ran around in the sand a bit and would just shake her head.
"But not if you keep running around like that in the sun. You'll become sweaty and sunburnt. They have to bathe the sphynx cat because of this you know."
Zella would shrug, watching as the naked cat trotted himself up towards the back door where she leaned and then took off back towards the two women. Puma had not budged from where she sat upon the staircase, only perhaps lounged a bit more. She was not in line of sight of the group, but grinned to herself as the cat commented about beating feet. Zella would just turn to look towards her Mother with a bit of a confused look on her face.
"Do you think they're aware we can hear them?"
Puma shrugged. "It's hard ta' say. But ah would assume at least Lilith is aware."
Zella looked back to the beach, picking Lilith out to be the serious one, which left the other to be Charion and the cat to be Balthaxar.
"The cat seems pretty harmless."
"That ain't just a cat, Darlin'. Use ya' senses. Don't let ya eyes fool ya."

Exhaling a slow curl of cigar smoke, he stared over the sparkling water in the afternoon African sun. In a second's time he felt the presence of three energies, all distinctly different. Rising slowly, he'd stroll to the cliffside over the beach an raise his hand in greeting to Lilith, Charion and Balthaxar. One hand in his pocket, the other placed the cigar in his teeth and with a raised hand and a flick of his wrist, he waved them up towards the house. Turning quietly, he'd stroll back towards his family. He could smell Puma's displeasure and sense the shift in her energy. Smirking gently against his cigar, he chuckled. She and Zella were alike in skill and ability, though very different in personality. He wondered if Mia would be jealous when they met. It might be a good thing for his daughter to have a sister, or it might be a disaster. It would be entertaining either way. As he walked towards the house, he turned his eyes towards the second floor as he felt a new signature. He knew his wife would would smell and recognize her son immediately, but he called out into the house.
"We have more guests than expected, Sweetheart! Zella - time to meet your brother!"
He would sit quietly in his chair and wait for the beach trio to approach. As they drew near, he raised his hand again in greeting, calling out to them as they made their approach.
"Well curse my eyes, is that Master Balthaxar? Ye gods, Balty....I haven't seen you since I was a very young elf. Where has your Master kept you all this time? And you smell like poor sushi and disappointment...what has Charion been feeding you, food fabricator sushi? Shall I fetch you some fresh ocean fish that you might have something worth your palatte? And Lil'...do you have my sword? I don't sense it, and I've been away from it too long, I fear...Char...what are you wearing man, er, woman? That hat looks hideous on you. Honestly, if you're going to be a woman, you might take advantage in the superior fashion options available to you..."

Lilith's gaze would move towards Sunfire's position before he could even be seen. Once they were invited she'd proceed towards the house. She and Charion of course could have just walked up to the front door, but as she mentioned to Charion she wouldn't be rude or assume they were welcome in Puma's home. She had taken Nathan's recommendation as serious.
A small smile would grace her lips as she'd approach. She had almost forgotten that Charion now being a woman wasn't news that everyone had been privvy to. At least he had realized right away.
She'd reach her right hand out to the side. A ball of formless darkness would once more coalesce within her palm. It would stretch into roughly the shape and size of a 63" nodachi. With the flick of her wrist she would grab hold of Saya, shaking off the darkness like steam. She'd turn the sword over in her palm and present Ausblutent back to it's owner.
"Your blade. Safe as promised."
Lilith would look past Sunfire and into the house, nodding to the young girl who still stood within the doorframe, noting where Puma sat and looking towards the upstairs of the house as she sensed the appearance of her Daughter and Son-in-law. Her brows would knit together in slight concern.
"You seem to have a house full. I hope this doesn't pertain to your news for us. Or that we did not come at an inopportune time."

Balthaxar trotted up to Sunfire to nuzzle his leg, but took a careful note to avoid his shoes. "Oh you know... around." His ears perked. "Rift allowed me to take some me time in the Denier library, but the deal was for something like a millennium give or take a few centuries. I didn't even get the memo he was missing until the kids found me, so I guess I'm out on good behavior?"
He smirked, admiring the effort and promise for higher quality fish. He liked that aspect, but would probably unable to tell much difference to be honest.
Charion let go of her luggage, and clutched her breasts in front of Sunny.
"Dinnae have much of a choice in my body selection... Tres entrapped me in this form. I have tae admit I've started tae grow fond of some of its assets!" She put her hands up defensively. '"S. .. .. sorry. I dinnae mean anything weird by that, it is just that I can survive a variety of conditions that most cannot. 'Tis an awkward situation but, nae, a inconvenience within a blessing. We have better things tae be on about." She would have blushed if she could.
She took the hat off after he mentioned her clothes. ""Tis my mother's hat. But ye are correct. 'tis hideous."
Charion gave Sunfire a hug. "It has been far too long, cousin."

He would bow respectfully to Lilith, taking up his sword. There was a strange whisper in an unknown tongue as he touched it, his eyes fading to complete black for a brief moment as his lips split in a vile grin. The air would grow cold and the blade would rattle as if trying to free itself. Then, just as quickly as it started, the air grew warm, his eyes faded to silver green and he took a deep, cleansing breath. His will had resisted the blade once more, proving its master. Slinging it over his shoulder, he nodded quietly to his cousins.
Glancing at Charion with a perked brow, he simply blinked as he fondled his own assets. A smirk splitting his lips, he returned the hug warmly.
"Careful, Cousin...you may make my wife jealous yet. Now come. Illyana is on the second floor. She has regained some of her forebear's memory. I fear, given the manner it happened, that something foul has taken place. It was not a pleasant transition for her, to say the least."
He would step on the porch, flicking wrist toward the ocean. A rather large sailfish would take a moment to travel from a long way off to land on the beach. With a motion of his finger, it was gutted and beheaded, leaving only the edible parts. As the guts evaporated into cherry blossom petals, Sunny winked to Balthaxar and then turned to call into the house.
"Dear, Lil and Char would like to speak to Illyana. May they come in the house?"
He would step inside, putting his blade in the umbrella can. Shooting a look to Zella, he was quite grave.
"Do not touch my sword, dear heart. It is dangerous even for me. For you, I fear it would consume your soul, as it may mine one day, should my will fail."
He would pat her on the shoulder as he passed.
~*~*~* Nathan would fuss as Sera preened and primped him.
"Thank you, sweetheart, but I'm fine. And I'll be fine. I'm really more worried about Mom."
He chuckled and called loudly down the stairs.
"Nihilano - would you mind offering us a change of clothes? We're a bit...unkempt."
Sunny would frown at the use of his first name, his eyes narrowing in thought. With a snap of his fingers Nathan was wearing a white dress shirt and khaki pants with comfortable cork clog sandals. Sera's cloths melded into a respectful, yet comfortable silk kimono and fuzzy bunny slippers. Nate would wink to her, pressing a soft kiss on her cheek as his siblings crackled in behind them. Nathan gently put his hands over Sera's ears in predictive anticipation as Morsus bellowed.
"YO! OLD PEOPLE AND MOM! WE UP IN THIS BITCH!"
He would grin, throwing the window open and jumping down to ground level. Looking at Lilith, he nodded quietly.
"Yo Lil! What's up? Who's your sidepiece?"
Nathan would shake his head and take Sera's hand, nodding towards the stairs and calling out to Mia.
"C'mon sis....let's meet this Zella and watch Mom lose it when she finds out how my dad screwed with her....again...."
