::Lilith stood within her home, her hand reaching out as if to touch something invisible, only to slowly, and yet suddenly fall to her side. The darkling fae hung her head, allowing the ebon tendrils of hair to fall about her features. Typically, she could simply reach out and pull herself into her mother's sanctuary. Not anymore, it was simply as if it were not, or never have been...there.
The phone at her side would begin to vibrate, and she would reach down to flip the slender device open, dialing her voicemail. It would be Kil'atha's voice that slipped into her ear. He had always been the rouge agent, never under any orders, only given the cause, and loyal he has remained, no matter what his tactics. Though, Lilith always believed his reasonings leaned a little more towards respect.
She would flip the cell shut, setting it down on the nightstand at her side before turning and once more reaching out into space. This time, her hands would seemingly slip through a plane of glass, grappling ahold of Kil'atha's suit jacket and jerk him back sharply, through the plane, into her apartment and onto the couch she stood in front of.
She flipped those raven locks out of the way, tucking them back behind sharply tapered ears to regain her composure, the message from Teagan, the connection she developed to Aine to keep an eye on her, and the message from Kil all hitting a nerve within the darkling fae.
Before Kil could even sit up straight, the message was sent to everyone else, loud and clear, within each and every mind, Teagan, Aine, Seraphina, Charion, Malcolm and Donnalbane to all meet at her home, and to get there by any means necessary.
Then would Lilith look to the drow, her essence calming as she took in a deep breath, though her eyes still sparked with a flame that had not been seen in years. She would turn to him, crossing her arms over her chest before speaking.::
This meeting has been called to order. First order of business...what the FUCK is going on!

-Sera had been driving down the street, and was nearly to her mother's condo when the message came in loud and clear. She would grumble out of suprise, slamming on her breaks and nearly causing the cars behind her to pile up right there in the street. Thankfully, all had good breaks. She would give a quick wave in her rear-view mirror for an appology, the fingers and words she recieved from the fellow drivers behind her not so appreciative that the seemingly young girl was thankfully okay. Never the less, she would drive on, and pull into the parking garage to her mother's condo, where no one else could follow her in.
She would slip out of the car, throw her dance bag over her shoulder and make her way to the elevator, pushing the button for the twentieth floor. Top of the building. and nice elevator music the entire way up.
Directly before all of this, she too had been suddenly dispatched from her grandmother's home, right in the middle of a conversation with her father, whom she hadn't seen since she was four. She was not in a pleasant mood, however, a quick talk with her husband would calm her down and set her mood back to it's usual calm.
With a ding, the elevator door would open, and Sera would step out to make her way to the only door a few feet away. She would flip the large bag around to where she could dig through it, pulling out a set of keys and flipping them about in the palm of her hand before reaching out to unlock the door, calling as she did, though she needed no introduction she was sure.-
Mom...Elessa.....
-her words would be cut short as she took note of Lilith and Kil, knowing full well all had been called to the condo, she had no idea anyone would actually beat her to it. Something was indeed going on.-
I do hope I'm not interrupting anything.

*~He was sitting there quietly among the shop's patrons, waiting for his drink when his hand moved slowly to his dagger as he felt the planes opening behind him. He recognized the scent of her flesh, however, and relaxed his muscles as he was jerked through time, space, and reality to be hurled somewhat unceremoniously onto Lilith's couch. Sitting up slowly, he unbuttoned the bottom button on his suit coat, then removed it and laid it across the back of the couch. Cracking his neck slowly, he removed his sunglasses and placed them in his breast pouch, his lavender eyes peering up at her with a pure, radiant luminescence. She had already made the call, and he perceived the others would be arriving in short order. He opened his mouth to respond to the nearly screamed question, when the door opened and Sera entered.~* I do hope I'm not interrupting anything.*~He looked to Sera quietly. She had grown ever more beautiful in her aging, as when he'd last seen her she was in her teens. He'd always favored Sera for her ability to define grace with her very being, and her complete lack of the need to posture...simply said, her complete self confidence without ego had instantly endeared herself to him. Bowing his head to her slightly, he offered~* Why, not at all dear Seraphina...your mother and I were merely endeavoring to make clear some complexities that have arisen as of late. ...though, if I might trouble you for a brace of favors, namely a cup of tea, and a moment with which to brief your mother in private, I would further be in debt to you...and might I add that Amarant taped your last performance for me, and your grace has indeed redoubled upon itself...

~On the fields of Teagan's ranch, a pair of wolves would be seen herding her horses. The animals were not frightened of the beasts which "played" with them, for they could feel their true nature. The larger of the pair was jet black, the second white as snow... the proverbial yin and yang as it were. Their bright green eyes were the only thing that betrayed their true forms.
Then the call came, both wolves came to a skidding hault nearly getting trampled by hooves. They both in unison bolted back towards the house. Upon arriving, much to their disaproval the door was shut, so, they proceeded to stand on their hind paws and scratch at it and bark feverishly to be let in.~

She had been sitting on the patio overlooking her garden, her stance calm and collected by the serene expression on her face. She had been to heaven and back and she wasn't sure she still understood the implications, but she'd deal with them one by one. Her blue-white eyes closed as she dropped further into the mediative posture, letting her senses reach out around her. She felt the two out in the fields running the horses and the smile was faint. She relaxed even more, examining the feelings that she had locked away inside of her with the death of her family. Love. A four letter word if there ever was one. An emotion that would bring great joy, hatred and sorrow ... she had felt all three because of it. She sighed and then her eyes flashed open as she felt the insistent touch from Lilith, calling ... no ... demanding the presence of the Chosen. She frowned, wondering who had upset the darkling to thunder through her head like that. She stood, turning, hearing the noise of barking at the door. She wasn't used to having anything other than a cat and the horses on the ranch and even though she knew differently, it still felt strange having the two in wolf form wandering the ranch at will. She walked through the house to the door, opening it, almost being knocked down as the two bounded in, apparently they had also received the call from Lilith. She smiled as the black wolf rubbed along her leg and then she caught the whiff of the field on him, her nose wrinkling, shaking her head. "Ummmm....I think the both of you need to get cleaned up....and then we'll leave...." She chuckled as the white wolf tilted his head at her as if resigned to getting wet and he bounded off out of the kitchen. She looked down. "That means you too..." She heard the faint chuckle as he also turned and ran off. ************************ She was waiting in the living room when the two of them finally emerged, her own hair still damp from her shower, the black jeans topped by the soft blue heavy knit turtleneck set off her eyes even more, low-heeled shoes completed the simple yet elegant look. The only jewelry she wore was a single fine platinum chain set with an oval cut sapphire and her wedding band that now rested on her right hand. She picked up the collars and sighed. "Can't be helped ... they have leash laws in the city and if you're going like that, you have to wear them." When she got no protest from either of them, she gently encircled each neck with the thin leather, opposite colors to their fur and she picked up her shoulderbag and stood between them, a hand gripping under each collar. Once their visioned cleared, they would find themselves in the middle of another room as different as night and day from the ranch. Teagan had ported the three of them to the condo she still kept near Lilith's. "We can walk from here, its just a few blocks ..." ************************ The doorman pulled open the door for the tall willowy blonde that strode with purpose, his eyes not leaving the white and black wolves that flanked her. He had not seen her in months and his smile was one of admiration. "Good evening, Madame Ambassador, nice to see you again." Her answering smile was brilliant as she brushed past him, the man's name coming to her mind. "It has been a few weeks, Austin, I hope the family is well?" The man nodded. "They are fine, Ms. O'Connor. Shall I get your car for you?" She shook her head, smiling faintly. "No, its such a lovely evening, I think we'll walk instead." He nodded as the trio left the lobby, turning right, they headed towards Lilith's. ************************** They arrived after a slight detour. She ran into the wife of the Swiss ambassador and her two small children, both boys, the youngest one just a toddler, on their way home after seeing a movie. She could not just breeze pass the woman, so she paused to speak to her, asking after her husband, shaking her head when the woman asked if she had returned back to her job yet ... the current US ambassador was good, but not her. Teagan smiled faintly at the compliment and then looked at the squirming child that wanted down from his mother's arms to play with the "puppies". She glanced down at the duo, chuckling softly, reaching for the child and then she knelt between the two to the child's delight. After a few minutes of pulled ears and a "bath" from the two, she stood, handing the disappointed child who wanted down to play more, back to his mother. She ruffled his hair, saying they would visit another time, but they were late for an important meeting. The other woman nodded, biding her a good night and turned to enter the building on her left and Teagan and the two wolves continued down the street, arriving shortly at Lilith's building. A short walk across the lobby to the elevator and then to the twentieth floor. It had been some time since she had visited Lilith and her husband Elessar. The trio exited the elevator and went to the only door, her hand raising to touch the bell's switch to announce their arrival, hoping they were all that late.

-Sera was beyond blushing, though, there was a point in time when such comments from Kil'atha would indeed rosen the cheeks of the petite blonde. Still, she wold smile, the same gracious and humble smile she would bestow upon audience members after any performance.-
Though I've had years of study, these kids I teach show me more every day. Thank you. And it is green tea, correct? I believe mom still has a stockpile of it in the cabnets....
-and she would dissapear into the kitchen, stopping to set her oversized bag by the door as she skuttled to put water on the boil. There she would stay for a moment or two, watching the pot until she heard the doorbell ring, and like a quick wind would she scamper to the door-
I got it!!
Teagan!
-the smile would grow all the more bright as the young woman would open up an arm to hug the Sidhe that she had not seen in forever, moving aside to allow the two wolves to scamper in as well. She recognized both their signatures, yet made no moves to outright tackle them. The thought had indeed crossed her mind, but her dignity in a social situation kept her from doing so.-
Come in! Come in! I've got tea on the boil in the kitchen...

*~He did his best not to deflate a little at the standardized smile he received as a reception, but he could not fault her too much. Adulthood often brought the need for etiquette and poise that erased the genuine nature youth could bring. His voice was soft when he whispered to Sera~* Green tea, yes of course. I am much obliged to you as ever, Ms. Shadowstar. *~Turning to Lillith once more, he was again interrupted by the door. Hearing the name called out, he slowly pulled his shades from his pocket, unfolding the earpieces slowly and covering his eyes as he stood. Pressing past Lillith slowly, he moved to her balcony, noting with some concern the chunk that appeared missing. Looking out over the city quietly, he sighed, not waiting for her to move within earshot as he knew she could hear even his slightest whispers here. The wind carried his breath away as his lips moved slightly, seemingly no sound coming from them. It was shadow-speak, something he'd taught Lillith years ago...only the third person he'd ever bestowed with such confidence.~* Full house, and your daughter much older now...but that is not why you have called me. I would suggest temperance, Lillith, if we are all to be here...the group tends to draw factions enough as it is. Regardless, in direct answer to your question, I personally am confused. Illyana, as you know, has sealed her realm due to the pressing of the Gangrel...I tried to even her keel a bit, but to no avail. Further, we are dangerously close to being exposed to the press again...I have disposed of a Joseph Martin, I believe...a teenager who was all too willing to speak to the press about his new gifts...it was only local news and passable, but he spoke to a CNN reporter just today...he could neither control his power, his temper, or his tongue... Of further concern is Aine. I went to speak to her about the reporter, under the assumption she was guiding her, as this "Martina" is, as I found in her conversation with the boy, an awakened one...but rather she managed to open fire on her in front of a news building, in the middle of the public. I've started Armond on researching the reporter...but Aine not only threatened me, which I find irritating, but she herself causes us undue notice...and we don't need any more attention then we've already had, especially if the reporter gets killed. It would mean the Age of Persecution all over again...

She heard the faint..."I got it!!" coming from the other side of the door, recognizing the voice as Sera, Lilith's and Donnalbane's daughter. Before she could look to the wolf on her right side, the door was pulled open and the excited greeting of surprise caused her to smile warmly as the young girl's arm went around her, her own hugging back in return, placing a soft kiss on her forehead. "You look well, Sera. And, I must say, your last performance was inspiring. I did manage to get into the city to catch it. I would have come backstage to congratulate you, but there were soooo many people ahead of me, I just left you to deal with your admiring fans ... you didn't need to be bothered by this old woman." She looked up at the sound of the tea kettle's whistle. "And tea sounds just fine ..."

::The darkling fae's eyes would watch as Kil'atha moved to the balcony. She made a mental note to repair the broken ledge should it fall and kill someone one day. She would move then, around the table and around the couch, watching as Seraphina moved with Teagan into the kitchen to prepare the tea and catch up. Sera always did seem to enjoy the Sidhe's company.
Then there were the wolves. She would prefer it if they changed back, last thing she needed was fleas in the apartment, this and the disrespect she would feel should things get started and they remained in that shape.
Kil'atha would begin the shadowspeak, and the darkling fae would tilt her head ever so slightly to the side, her gaze drawing forward for a moment before nodding and turning, moving to the fireplace as she as well began to whisper to the winds.::
You should know by now Kil'atha that we seem to operate along the same wave length. I am not against taking necessary actions. However, to keep this from happening, if, it is truely happening as we suspect and not some freak annomaly, our main goal is going to be to find Rift. We just....all need to be on the same page so as to not accidentally upset mother again.
Sera has actually spent the most time with Illyana. I am sure she will be able to shed some light as to her mental health.

The sudden intrustion into her mind was just enough to really set her off and as she rubbed the bridge of her nose she looked towards the Lieutenant then the Captain before looking to the rest of the inquiry board as they talked about the events in the corner office. It had been over 6 hours since it had started and once they called for a recess she sat down at her desk and just banged her head against it before being stopped by mark who looked at her and smiled. " your under a lot of stress maybe you should take some time off. " ( I can't do that.. ) Once he had left she looked to her computer and started typing a long letter to Lilith.
[ I have heard your request and i am sorry that I just can't pull away on such a short notice and in the middle of a major investigation. With the recent events in the city it has put me in a very bad light since i was there at the morgue before the events happened. I can't go into details right now as it is not my place to do so. Perhaps we can meet sometime When they call it quit’s for the day or on the board walk and we can talk there or Ellis island. ] As she finished she hit the send button and the words just vanished from the screen and yet nearly the same time a neatly folded piece of paper would arrive with two rather large japanese hornets sitting on it and the words for Lilith only across it.
It would be about three hours later and she would drop down on the front porch looking like a mess sitting on her lap all her work and the new investigation she had been saddled with due to his meddling. Yet she couldn't find the strenght to go any farther and as she sat on the steps she struggled to stay awake.

*~The cool night air against his face beckoned strongly to him. It had been so long since he had left the confines of his keep, and the pull of the moon upon his soul simply begged him to dart among the shadowy rooftops, dodging the law and accomplishing dark deeds. Pulling his sunglasses off, he removed his handkerchief and cleaned them idly, pondering Lilith's words. She was one of few that had earned his respect through blood and deed, and thus was dually respected and trusted. Holding his glasses out at arms length and inspecting them in the moonlight, he nodded quietly in agreement to Lilith's words.~* *~Turning quietly back, he replaced his sunglasses and moved past her, his fingertips brushing her shoulder in silent apology for her frustration, and whatever part he'd caused in it. Noting the appearance of an envelope, he brushed the hornets off with a gloved hand, taking it up and handing it idly to she whom it was addressed. Sitting on the couch, he called gently to Sera~* How's the tea coming, dear heart? I have the strong suspicion that this company is the best attendance we can hope for at this juncture...so if Lilith has no objection as our host, perhaps we should begin the discussion. *~In a rare act of welcome, he actually pulled his suit coat from the couch next to him and cleared a spot for whomever would choose to sit there, folding it across his lap and awaiting the proper convening of the meeting~*

Both Teagan and Sera came from the kitchen, the light laughter was welcomed to hear in the apartment, even though there was still the severity of the meeting that Lilith had called. She carried a tray with the teapot, cream and sugar and a small plate of teacakes that Sera had found. She set the tray on the coffeetable, leaving room for the tray that Sera carried that had the cups, saucers, spoons and napkins on it. She then turned to the empty loveseat, even though she noted the fact that Kil'atha had allowed for the seat next to him to be occupied. At one time, she would have sat next to him. She didn't always like his ways of doing things as it rubbed in the opposite direction from what she had been trying to accomplish over the years, most times, she went in to clean up the mess and set things to rights after he had gone through the problem once diplomatic procedures failed. But, he had earned her grudging respect over the years. She did things her way ... he did them his ... and both worked. She leaned against the back of the loveseat, closing her eyes for the moment, taking a calming breath as he said that the current gathering was probably the most it was going to get and to get started so everyone was on the same page, if not the same sentence in the search for Rift and how to keep the influence of Yana on the mortal plane from causing any more damage than it may have already.

-Sera would walk in, taking careful steps with the breakable objects after just joking with Teagan how dancers are never the most graceful of people when it comes to walking. She would gingerly set them on the table before turning around for a place to sit, taking the seat left available by Kil with a grin and turning to look at everyone else that had joined. She noted a couple of missing faces, and turned to her mother.-
"So....is Charion and Aine joining us tonight? Or is it just us?"

::Lilith would glance over to those gathered, moving out of the way to answer the phone as Teagan and Sera brought in the trays with tea.::
"No Geogre, that's okay. She'll be gone before you make it back, but thank you."
::She would turn, looking to Sera as she asked who else would be there, turning to the large highback chair::
"Charion will not be joining us. He is going to try to make a final attempt to speak with mother, then get back in touch with us."
::and then, much like she had done with Kil, would Lilith reach into the air, pulling Aine from where she fell asleep on the stairs of the building, to the highback chair on the twentieth floor condo, setting her down in the chair. The procedure was not gentle, and would indeed jar Aine out of her slumber. Finially she would turn, moving to the tea tray and picking up a teacake and taking a bite before speaking.::
"I do not believe I need to explain why I have asked you all here. There are things going on in this world that requires speculation, and caution. But there are other matters that require our immediate attention....all of us. Basically, we all need to be in agreeance and on the same page, even though I realize it has been hundreds of years since any of us has done so."

~The pair of wolves which accompanied Teagan to the meeting now unleashed, their heads bowed in unison to Lilith having sensed her displeasure as to their choice of forms for the encounter. They sat quietly beside Kil'Atha upon the sofa until Teagan and Seraphina emerged from the kitchen with their tea. They then hopped off the sofa and padded into the kitchen out of sight for a moment.
Then the two would emerge once more in their true forms. First the enforcer, his bear like appearance somewhat dwarfing his leaner looking son. His huge size and choice of garments, leathers, furs, a very earthy feeling to them and the almost fae like visage of his son clad in a bright red leather trench coat, unkempt snowy white locks of hair somewhat hiding the bright emerald green eyes he and his father both shared. Sheathed upon Donnalbane's back were two very large swords, one tarnished and worn, the other much more elegant emitting a soft light. It was fairly obvious their need of disguise in their arrival. The mortals of this world would have raised a fuss with such a display within their midst.~
The ancient druid would speak first.
"Our apoligies, we meant no disrespect with our choice of forms, it was however a necesity to get here without arousing any sort of suspicion. Teagan's position affords her the possibility of having such exotic pets."
Donnalbane moved over to his daughter's side, his arm slipping over her shoulder, red leather draping about her with the sheltering gesture. Malcolm moved towards the center of the room, talloned fists pressed tightly together within the small of his back as he paced.
"I understand the contempt and tension in the air thrust upon my presence here in the waking world once more. I was to be awoken upon only the most dire of circumstance, my actions dictate the gravity of this. The awakening of the elvish gene must either be stopped, or the proper nurturing of this transformation and guidance set in place. This kind of eratic random energy threatens the very balence of all things.
The planet is aware of what is transpiring, I have spent a time in comunion with nature, there is much unrest and uncertainty within the wilds. I could not find an answer to the questions which are being presented before us at the present time, nary a clue as to the whereabouts of Rift either. Also, Illyana has indeed sealed off EVERY facet and any access to her... I attempted to reach her through the dream world and encountered a series of barriers the likes of which I have never seen...
During my long slumber I was able to commune with my grand-sire Proteus, I had indeed surpassed even his expectations and strength, we spoke for an age upon where this would lead. In short, there is still one form that illudes me and my shape shifting prowess. It was something that Proteus saught out before his untimely demise before the green dragon flight within our home realm. He was deemed unworthy of their gifts and lacked the enlightenment. Ages have come and gone since then, I sence not a trace of draconic influence left in this realm. However, Eden, the realm of which Donnalbane and I originate, the dragon flights still linger to watch over the magical energies which still ebb and flow there. Lilith, perhaps you remember Eden? You were their honorary Queen for a day or so... "
~He grinned then for a moment and continued.~
"So, as I was saying, the forces of nature are in a state of extreme unrest at the moment and this can only mean one thing, there will be a confrontation of some sort the likes of which this world has not seen in the age of mortals and technology. Donnalbane has taken up the mantle of the Enforcer of Elysium to facilitate my absence... I must continue the journey of my grand-sire and succeed where he had failed. I will return to Eden. Teagan, Donnalbane will heed your word and follow it to the letter as he is now your charge. I cannot say how long I will be gone. When the journey is over, I will return to you all."
~His head bowed again to those gathered and he strode out onto the balcony. The would hear the shriek of a bird of prey and the fluttering of wings to herald his departure, when he would return, only time could tell.
Donnalbane bowed his head, his grip upon his daughter tightening ever so slightly, his father always did this... leaving him to face his destiny alone, but he wasn't alone... He looked to his left at the wise Sidhe he had been entrusted to serve, then a quick glance over to the darkling fae that had once been his lover, then to the couch where Kil'Atha sat, his presence was an enigma to him, he would much like to speak with the drow. He then looked down to the jewel within his grasp, he would fight till the very edge of reality for her...~
"Typical..." ~Donnalbane snorted.~
"So... where do we start?"
