- Reference: Order of the Silent Hand; Mercenary assassin coalition suspected in the murders of over 350 key members of state, as well as numerous law enforcement and military personnel. Base of operations unknown. Number of members unknown. 16 total members brought to justice and publicly executed.
- Deposition: Very little fact is known about this unique individual that has not been muddied by numerous rumors, falsehoods, and urban legends. A trafficker and controller of information, much of the mystery surrounding this individual is presumed to have been instigated and furthered by the man himself. What is known is that the first record of the one named Kil'atha appears in ancient texts where poets refer to him as the 'Vexing Shadow" and the "Lurking Raven." It is apparent from these texts that this individual was both cherished and feared for his ability to charm and cavort while 'de-burdening' other individuals of rank, singular power, or notoriety of items intrinsically valuable to them. It seems that further renditions portray him as one who would steal amply from the known thieves and abusers of power and station, bringing ruin upon them. It was also said that of those who held respect for the masses, he would steal items as well, but return them merely for a note acknowledging his skill...a sort of game he played to the mirth of many both great and small.
It is suspected that through his thievery he has amassed unfathomable wealth, and he is assumed to be the primary benefactor and silent partner in the financing of the Cathedrals of the Grey Goddess. It is unknown at what point he retired from his thievery, but it is known that he used his notoriety and connections to establish - through both charisma and fear - an extensive information network by which he manipulates governments and factions for exorbitant fees.
