"I am not seeking sex and depravity."
Zella's brows would knit together, an almost offended look crossing over her features. She'd glance back to Mia as she so casually strolled back up to the table. This was Mia's fault. Carlos' comment made it sound as if that was what she needed to have a good time. Truthfully, she was having a good time now.
"I may not be chaste but there are other means of having a good time."
Mia would just stand at the end of the diner booth, not bothering to sit back down. The new girl was backing out and it seemed as if Carlos' comment had Zella's hackles raised. She'd sigh and shrug, making a dismissive gesture with her hand before reaching up to run her fingers through platinum blonde hair.
"C'mon kids. This is a supernatural rave we're talking about here. Maybe it's not all touchy feely licky icky. Maybe instead it's going to be good music with a heavy beat, lots of dancing, and seeing things and people gathered we wouldn't normally see anywhere else. Zella. We can always just leave if you're not having a good time. You too fish bait. Carlos."
There was a groan that seemed to come from under the diner. A curious and almost otherworldly sound that made all of the staff stop moving. Mia would just tilt her head to the side, her gaze looking off to the right as she seemed to be listening in to the staff's conversation, even though she wouldn't turn and make it obvious.
"Connie! We got no water back here in the kitchen."
"Yeah I just checked the sink up here too. Can someone check the bathrooms."
"I'll call the owner."
The four wait staff would go about checking things. After about a minute, their waitress would come up to the group.
"Hey folks. I'm really sorry about this but it seems like we don't have any water. Just wanted to give you a heads up. If we can't get it back to running then we'll have to close the doors since we can't stay open without a working rest room. I still have a pot of fresh coffee until it runs out at least. Anything else I can get you?"
Mia would just grin, standing still and looking at the waitress.
"Nah. Guess my sister and I will just take our check."

Carlos would shoot mia a suspcious look, at the sudden 'water' shortage in the resturaunt and how convientely it would be needed to be closed he sighed heavily and finally shoved the rest of his final piece of pie left in his mouth. He still had some coffee left in his cup so he used that to wash down the pie before meeting mia's eyes. he would sigh and shrug in resignation.
'fine, I give up. Supernatural rave it is. I'm in. Happy now?'
He'd give her an odd look, before he glanced at the other two women waiting to see what they would say. After the most reluctant out of the four of them finally agreed to go against probably his better judgment. But there it was. It was happening and therew as nothing that else that could be done about it. But ride the way and hope you didn't crash into the rocks.

There was that fish bait comment again. She sighed softly trying to figure out how she got involved in this but it was her own fault, her own curiosity that lead her to this table after all. Alara watched Mia for a long moment. Why did she call this thing a supernatural rave they didn't honestly believe in the supernatural did they? They seemed intent on taking her along for the ride though, she supposed she could go along with it...maybe once there she would find here way out with out them knowing that would be safe.
"This isn't a cult thing is it?" She asked softly, hey it was always best to check on these things, all the shows she'd seen and books she read, cults were difficult to escape so it was best to find out first right?

Zella looked over to Alara as she asked if this rave was a cult. Zella knew what a true cult was. Had never been to a rave before but now, she was also curious. She'd shrug.
"I don't know. Mia?"
She'd look up to her twin who seemed more knowledgeable in this subject matter than she was. Mia herself would also just shrug.
"Eh. No. Though there are people who attend raves with a cult like fanaticism. Much like those people with Peloton bikes. C'mon. Lets get out of here."
She'd chuckle, pulling out her wallet and tossing a couple of hundred dollar bills onto the table. More than enough to take care the tab for the whole table and enough for the staff to make up their tip deficit since they were being forced to close early.
There weren't many cars in the parking lot, Mia would allow her gaze to roll over those parked there before landing on the Hummer. Yeah. That's what Carlos drove. Hooking her thumbs into her pockets she'd walk over to it and place her hand upon the passenger door handle. The lights would blink and the doors would unlock as if she had a key. She'd open it up, glancing over to Carlos' face to discern that she was correct and once she had it, she'd just grin.
"Shotgun!"
Zella would only shake her head. Not really understanding the term but figuring it better if she did not ask. She'd only look to Alara and motion in front of her towards the large vehicle.
"Seems Carlos is escorting us. After you, my Lady."
All of them knew exactly where the Wandering Reverie was that night, an old hospital from the early 1900's in the warehouse district that was scheduled to be demolished in the next few weeks. If they hadn't know where it was going to be the lights and sounds of music coming from inside certainly would clue them in to the location.
Mia would hop out of the vehicle after Carlos parked, a wide grin sliding across her lips as she took in a deep breath.
"Smells like sweat and candy from here."
Mia would walk straight to the front door, assuming the others were behind her even as voices entered her mind. Shadow Wraiths whispering to those who had never been here before. This place had rules. No fighting. No violence. Consequences. Mia would just frown, stopping in her tracks as she felt the presence of a shadow wraith brush past her shoulder. She hated when people got into her mind uninvited.
"Touch me again and I'll devour your essence and shit you out the next morning."
She'd mutter darkly under her breath to seemingly no one. A wicked smile would twist to her lips once she felt the energy patterns move away from her. She'd shrug, her grin softening just a bit before walking more fully into the thumping building.

Carlos felt like he was in a dream one minute they were at the diner and mia had magically unlocked his car, the next they were parked at the reverie and getting out and heading toward it. He was in line behind Mia and was next for the mental invasion. He shuddered visibly like he'd gotten licked on the face by something revolting when in reality he felt like ridley when the queen xenomorph was mere inches from her face dripping acid off its snout. Only he felt like he'd been licked by that. He couldn't stop another full body shudder from wracking through him as he had a flash back of his last visit. This trip would be different. he wasn't on guard duty. He was out as a civilian on the craziest night of his life thus far.
So far he and Mia had been cleared. He towered over her waiting for her sister and their stranger aluring companion. Carlos hoped she wasn't a siren. He heard they had shark teeth and did a lot of biting. Not to say he wasn't into biting...but... there were lines. Fuck. He thought to himself, this place was already filling his head with dirty thoughts. When really he was just speculating on what the hell Alara actually was. Hell he wasn't exactly even sure on the twins what the hell they actually were.
He had to admit though, he did like Zaid's musical taste. He couldn't help himself from bobbing a little in time with the music. Blame it on his latin roots. Deep down music lived in his soul. And secretly that man loooved to dance. Here was to hoping the 2nd time was the charm and this would turn out to be a rather enjoyable night. But he wasn't holding his breath.

Alara stood there for a moment trying to figure out how she'd gotten this far. She had kept wanting to refuse but Mia was able to just sweep everyone along for the ride it seemed and she was nervous. The feeling of wanting to run and hide back in the safety of the water or her home was far too tempting especially when she could have sworn there was something in her mind whispering the rules of this rave to her. Her eyes darted around searching for the source but she didn't see anything and that bugged her. Was this another weird thing like knowing where this party was? she fiddled with her shirt for a moment looking in the direction Mia had taken off in and where Carlos was standing, he seemed fine so maybe it was okay.
She took a deep breath and moved forward heading to his side. "Did someone tell you there was no violence? No fighting? you heard that right?"

Zella stood behind Alara. The girl looked nervous and being the protective one that she was, stood back to where she could keep an eye on her. Yet even Zella had not been to a rave, much less one with all manner of supernatural creature in attendance. The amount of smells coming from all around were so mingled that it was hard to tell where anyone was at any given moment. She would have to rely on sight to try and keep up with her sister and their two new friends as listening for them seemed totally out of the question as well. The heavy beat hit with such force she could feel it in her chest. It was not totally unenjoyable being a bit of a music lover herself, but until she had a chance to completely survey the area she was not ready to let her guard down.
The voice in her head gave the warning of no violence and she'd look up. Alara seemed to shrink and dart up to Carlos. Mia had also stiffened, her posture straight as if ready deal the violence the voice warned against. It would cause Zella to grow a bit concerned.
"Well. This will be an eventful night at least." She'd mutter a bit to herself before continuing to walk towards the abandoned building. She'd catch up to the three, offering them a smile.
"So this is what you call a rave?" She'd question with a light laugh, continuing to walk on into the building with Mia until they could really get a good look inside the place. The old hospital was only about 3 stories tall and the inside was crumbling. A few of the walls had already been knocked out but the support structure still seemed to be holding. Way in the back was the dais where the DJ stood, his face covered with a hat and bandanna and he bounced along joyfully with the music.
Zella looked up. A large hole in the floor near the DJ provided an excellent view to people up on the second floor still dancing to the music. All of it would cause Zella to chuckle.
"I hope the building doesn't come down around us."

Carlos would glance down at the shrinking flower that had seemed to find him the safest out of the 3 to cower near. She’d speak asking him about the telepathic voices that would be in all their heads whispering the rules of engagement to them. He’d offer her a small but friendly smile, to try and put her at ease. He somehow between here and the diner in his dream like drive had finally just given up. It was time to go with the flow and YOLO.
"Did someone tell you there was no violence? No fighting? you heard that right?"
‘Yup. Creepy as shit, isn’t it?’ He’d ask her back A slow raise of an eyebrow. The friendly smile continuing. In some ways she reminded him of Atraya when she was younger and super insecure. Maybe thats why he found himself feeling….protective? Or even more patient with her, than Mia seemed capable of offering.
Slowly he’d extend his hand out to her, almost like he wasn’t trying to spook her.
‘You can hold my hand if you want’ He’d say knowing it was a totally cheesy line, but he sincerely, was willing to be her anchor through these untested waters. He too was the protective type, after all it was his job to protect Atraya on a round the clock basis.
But maybe the offer to hold her hand wasn’t just about her, but himself as well. As he still knew consciously that he wasn’t that comfortable entering this place after his last experience.
But maybe tonight would be different. He wasn’t with Atraya. A plus. He was with a group of strangers. Another plus. And it was his time to spend as he wished. If Alara took his hand, he’d hold it in a chivalrous and protective manner. If she chose not to, he’d slow his long legged stride to match hers, so she wouldn’t feel abandoned by him.
He’d glance at Zella as she made a comment about the location being a ‘rave’ Carlos would shrug a little ‘honestly its the supernatural version. Human version is vastly different. The worse you have to worry about at a human one is a drug overdose. Here….well….lets just say you don’t want to test the waters.’ A small shudder as he had a flash back to his brief experience. Just from doing his job.
That said, he’d nod in agreement with Zella bout it crumbling around them. ‘Me too. But I doubt they’d pick a place that could potentially kill their customers… I imagine this is quite a money maker for whoever runs the show. ‘

Alara gave a small nod of her head. She stared at the hand offered to her for a moment before slowly taking it. It would be safer this way. At least if she stayed near him she wouldn't get lost and left behind in this madness. She was quiet taking everything in. She could feel the music, it seemed to vibrate through her and maybe it was Carlos holding her hand or the music but she felt a tiny bit calmer. Alara was curious though as she listened to Carlos talking to Zella. Supernatural rave? Human rave? What was that suppose to mean? She shook her head a bit, she'd figure it out later, this was one weird night as it was anyway trying to make sense of it later seemed like the best course of action right now.
"Le...Let's do this."

Zella watched as Alara scampered up to Carlos and tentatively took hold of his hand. The girl would be fine. Her gaze would then begin wandering a bit more around the room. Nearly every and any type of creature other than human was here. Most of them looked human, though there were a few who either couldn't hide or had chosen to shed their mortal guises. It was impressive she supposed, though perhaps a little sad too. No one in faerun hid as it was normal to have many different types of beings besides humans in the world. They did not live in peace and harmony, but at least it was no secret that they lived. Here all appeared to be in hiding from the humans. She didn't understand but it was what it was.
Her brows would furrow however as she looked around the crowded space.
"Carlos? Did you happen to see where Mia went?"
She'd ask the obviously taller man since Mia had wandered out of her line of sight.
Mia would glance back once after they made it into the place. She'd watch a second to see both Carlos and Zella fussing over Fish Bait and just shrug. She was either going to swim and have a good time or drown in anxiety. Either of those results would be interesting to see at the end of the night. But for now she'd leave the fussy ones behind and move into the crowd. One of quite a few mobile bars was just ahead behind a throng of people and she intended to find herself a beverage or two before she could see how much trouble she could get into.

Zaid had apparently gotten his hormones under control this evening, and the Reverie was proceeding smoothly for once. Faruq was musing over the favors he'd accumulated this evening and it might even have compensated for some of his previous losses after the near orgy the other night. He was dressed in his typical black suit with sapphire tie to match his eyes and the soft, runed face, idly engaging some of the more pleasant looking dryads when one of his wraiths whispered gently into his ear. Perking his brow, he excused himself from what would have been a vaingloriously satisfying evening to turn and see the quartet enter. Chuckling to himself, he'd stroll over to hit the bar in perfect timing with Mia's arrival. His eyes would assess her quietly, motioning to the tender to get him a straight whiskey with a drop of elven soul essence. Taking a sip, he turned to Mia casually, his lips curling in serpentine satisfaction. She had both the look of her mother and the posture of her father, unmistakable from his previous conversation. He'd offer a hand in her direction cordially, his voice weaving into Mia's ears as if it parted the music to be heard as clearly above the noise as if they were in an abandoned cathedral.
"Good evening, childe. I am known as Faruq...the organizer of this little affair. I believe this to be your very first time among us, yes? Please forgive the security...it is rare that we receive one of your stature among us...typically we are more host to those with...shall we say, baser instincts."
He would look up to see Carlos, his grin splitting wider to show a gleaming grin with serpentine incisors, something that most mortals filled their unmentionables at given its rarity. He knew the man could handle it, though, disconcerting as it was to see a djinn smile.
"And Mr. Banderas...I trust you enjoyed your little vacation? No hard feelings, I trust?"
There was a wicked gleam in Faruq's eyes, as if daring the man to break to rules if there was, in fact, residual feelings. He looked a tasty treat, to be sure. He noted Alara's timidity and the fear filled his nostrils like a euphoric drug. Eying her like a snack, he continued.
"And who is your beautiful guest? A date, perhaps, or emergency rations? If the latter, I would so love a nibble. You've been invited in the past based on your employer's status, but to bring an uninvited guest...well...it would be rude not to share."
His eyes would turn at last to Zella. He seemed transfixed by the heterochromia of her eyes, almost like a moth to flame. It took him a moment to shake himself free of the trance and he would cough almost uncomfortably.
"And who might you be? Ms. Puhrman did not mention two daughters, to my recollection...particularly not one as rare and delicate. I must say...while I see your lineage in your features, I do not see it in your soul...how curious. I just say, I could enjoy the hours in your company to be sure...but what of your brothers your mother mentioned? Girls night out? Alas...millennia since I've seen Tana...no, wait....she said she goes by Puma these days, yes? Yes, quite some time since Puma has offered me her company and now I'm graced in just a month's time by both her and her daughters...I am most fortunate. What brings all of you to my little soiree this evening, hm?

Carlos would look around the crowd and spot the crazy bitch beelinging for a bar. Good maybe it’d take a bit off of her edge.
‘She’s headed towards a bar….this way.’ He still held Alara’s hand as he led the two women toward Mia. Only to be taken by Surprise, as the filed up behind Mia, to meet Faruq. Carlos would pause wondering how the fuck the Jinn knew his last name. But didn’t question it. He’d just offer a tight nod.
"And Mr. Banderas...I trust you enjoyed your little vacation? No hard feelings, I trust?"
“We’re both just doing our jobs. No hard feelings.’ He’d arch a brow at the fangs on the dude, but would say nothing about it. He’d glance down at the woman clutching his hand and seeming still shying behind him. Instinctively he put more of his body between her and Faruq.
‘While I’m always one for sharing sir, I’m afraid I couldn’t insult my date like that.’ He’d let go of Alara’s hand only to slide his long arm around her slender shoulders pulling her into his side in a protective manner. Faruq was giving him the creeps. Being his first Jinn and all. He’d glance up at the DJ stand where Zaid was working the crowd with his music.
Carlos would watch the strange reaction that Faruq had to Zella, glancing between the two. Again his brow raising as clearly Faruq knew the girls ‘mother’ or so he gathered based off what he was hearing. He’d glance between the twins now, watching their reactions to Faruq’s comments about their mother. He’d let Mia answer the question of what brought them there. Since by all means it’d been under her insitagtion that the 4 of them had show up here.
Admittedly Carlos felt a little weird being there without Atraya. But he doubted he’d actually run into Zaid and have to break his heart and tell him Atraya wasn’t with them that evening. It was kind of gross how love sick those two were for each other. At least in Carlos’ mind. Given half a chance he’d make fun of Atraya with hand puppets mocking them. But he hadn’t had the opportunity. Yet. But it was coming.
But as long as she was happy, He was happy. And now apparently his ‘date’ as well.

The man had fangs and was creeping her out. She gave him a look and took the offered protection from Carlos. Whoever this new guy was he wasn't someone she wanted to be around for a long period of time. Who the hell had fangs? Was that a style? She tried to ignore him and look around the rave at all the different people there. There were normal looking people to her but she also saw others that didn't look normal at all. Supernatural. The word came back to her mind and she nodded. That was it these people just really liked to play dress up and they made a whole rave for it.
It was a little weird but then again there was conventions out there were people dressed up as comic book characters this was like that right? She relaxed a tiny bit thinking of that, there wasn't anything to be nervous of it was just people who liked to dress up. Alara touched Carlos's arm gently.
"Thank you."

Mia easily felt the energies of the Djinn as he approached the bar. He very clearly outshined every transient creature that decided to find entertainment within the building. In fact, she could tell it was his magics that kept this place lit up like a Christmas tree and supported the crumbling structure even as an overly exuberant werebear danced upstairs in full crinos. She would pretend not to notice him as she ordered a vodka on the rocks until he'd stop her and introduce himself.
She couldn't help but give him an interested and perhaps curious look as Faruq noted she had never been there before. Mia would offer her hand to him with the tilt of her head. She'd nod slowly with a slow grin curling to her lips as he spoke like she was some kind of celebrity. Was he mistaking her for someone else? There was no way he could know who she was.
"Oh yeah?" She'd state, brining the glass to her lips to take a sip before nodding. "Huh." She could not help the sarcasm that dripped from that one little word.
Mia would start to say more but about that time Carlos, Alara, and Zella walked up. Carlos clearly had a run in with the guy previously, which added credibility to his unease at returning.
Zella couldn't help but take a step closer as Faruq referred to Alara as emergency rations. Carlos would protectively pull Alara into him and Mia couldn't help but to snort out a quick laugh, muttering to herself.
"Maybe if her name was Paimon."
Zella glanced between her sister and the strange man with Sapphire blue eyes and odd markings upon his face and hands. She'd also catch his stare, which she couldn't help but feel oddly about until he broke away. Faruq would begin talking again in the same overly flattering way until both Mia and Zella would nearly interrupt him, neither answering any questions about their brothers, why they were there, or their names.
"Wait. Wait just a minute..."
"You..."
"Know our Mother?"
"And she offered you her company?" Mia snickered. "Dad's going to be pissed."
"Stop being so crude."

The insidiously cruel eyes of the well dressed owner peered around at the gaggle of 4 before him. Clearly ignoring the twins, he looked to Carlos darkly, his pupils clouding like smoke over water. Sipping his drink down slowly over 10 seconds, Faruq did not so much blink even once. After a long moment he looked down into his glass almost remorsefully. Tipping it upside down towards the floor, he shook it a few times as if trying to flick out the remnant drops onto the floor. His voice was flat and bored as he spoke, not bothering to look at the large man as if he were no more than a kitten.
"I appreciate your professionalism, Mr. Banderas...and yes, I do know your last name. I know your motivations, desires. Most importantly, I know your employer. Did you think a simple bodyguard could get invited here? No, your charges' father and I have done business here and there...there is quite a lot of capital and favors to be had, naturally."
Faruq's eyes would raise slowly from Alara's ankle to her waist, her waist to her shoulder, her shoulder to her neck and from her neck to Carlos' eyes. There was an almost playful sinister glimmer to them.
"And fear not, sir...your friend is safer here than anywhere in the city. We only dine with the willing, and my rules are absolute. Though for fear I have put you off your fun with my indulgences, know that your drinks are all comped tonight...personal guests of mine. Though I must say, your first vacation was for fear you meant my dear DJ harm. However in hindsight, I should have let you separate the whelps...for all their doe eyes and rutting, that young Atraya has cost me a great deal in her distraction of my attraction. But C'est la vie...such is eternity."
Flipping his glass upwards, as it came upright, it was no longer a scotch glass but a martini glass, complete with a dry stirred martini and olive on a silver toothpick. The flourish was for Alara's sake, making it look like a magician's sleight of hand. In truth Mia might have seen a deep sapphire energy unlike any magic she'd ever witnessed. The old glass was simply atomized and the new one created out of nothing. No magic, alchemy or manipulation of matter - simply sheer creation ex nihilo. Winking playfully at Alara, he turned his gaze to the twins. Taking the toothpick from the glass, he smiled broadly. Raising the olive to his lips, he caught Zella's eyes by happenstance, and for another long moment he stared deeply into them, his head tilting slowly to side, lolling for a moment. Blinking, he shook it off with a confused look. Wrapping his lips around the olive, he chuckled quietly.
"Yes, younglings...I know your mother...though not in that way my dirty little bird. No, we're friends from the old days. Grand days. She has been the closest thing I've ever had to a friend, I'd say. As for you, my dear, Mia was it? I believe that is what your mother told me. You must be your father's favorite. Clearly he has spoiled you, for your mother would have raised you more firmly, though if I know her at all she certainly tried and, given you are her daughter, likely did not take to it well. Delicious. I love it."
He would slide the toothpick from his lips, pointing at Zella.
"You are the the one she didn't know about. I actually sent her to you, would you believe it? I did not catch your name...though I would love to know it."
The djinn made careful to look in her direction with some interest, but did not look into her eyes again. Mia, however, he had no troubles assessing. Drinking the martini in a single go, he thrust the glass suddenly towards Alara. In the flash of moment, it was imperceptible to know how the glass became a thornless blue rose, complete with solid gold clip. Attaching it gingerly to her collar, he'd pat her shoulder.
"Forgive a bored old man his playful fun. I hope you all have a grand time tonight. If you need me, I'll be attending my booth just there. You are welcome to whatever your heart desires tonight, within the rules. Come Haresh, Jin'tal...there is nothing to fear here."
He would move towards his booth with a wave of a silver ringed hand. The astute would notice that Carlos' and Mia's shadows would leave them, trailing behind him like ink on the floor, only to absorb into his own. A trick of the rave lights perhaps. Sitting upon the crushed velvet, he'd stare at the group, then to the space beside him where she'd sat just a few months back. He mused to himself quietly, his stoic features hardening. She'd found the missing one...he'd been of service to the goddess one last time. It felt good to be useful once more. Raising his eyes to the quartet, he watched them as still as a statue, wondering after them deeply.
