She took the drink offering Mia a smile. She was getting kind of use to being called Fish Bait now. "Thanks." She said loud enough to be heard. She took a sip of the drink grateful for the fruity taste of the drink. She turned her attention to Carlos watching him down his drink and the way he moved between the three of them. It kind of reminded her of a wild animal on the prowl and the way his body moved to the music was so very tempting. She licked her lips her throat feeling suddenly dry. He was a very good looking man. She drank more of her drink and moved back towards him, part of her wanted to help him with unbuttoning his shirt. She kept the drink in one hand trying to tamper down the desires that were coming forward so easily in this place.
Alara moved with the music, letting it take over her.

Mia looked between Alara and Carlos, finding Carlos' reaction to the drink she picked amusing. Maybe it wasn't some magical concoction, but something inside her told her not to trust the drinks here. She watched the tender make them. Normal alcohol was used. She had a whiskey she was familiar with. All was good.
She'd laugh at his reaction, raising her glass in a bit of a toast and downing half of the whiskey in one go. It burned in all the right ways going down. She'd swirl the other half a bit with a smile before tipping it up and finishing it off, moving to the same table to set down her empty glass before returning to the dance.
Zella's concern would melt away as Mia began to dance, everything seemingly going back to normal. Eventually the mood of the rave would return back to the same heightened feeling that it was before the owner was offended. The music was loud and each tune the DJ spun up just filled then with excitement. The little quartet danced in their small group, Carlos in the middle of a hot girl triangle swaying his hips to the beat. Alara could dance, and both Zella and Mia would note the fun she was having as she finally seemed to let loose.
After a short time another would join. Mia would feel large hands upon her shoulders, gently squeezing as the taller man moved up behind her. His hands would trace across her shoulders and down her arms as he matched her rotating hips with his own. An amused and perhaps hungry smile traced across her lips as she turned to face him, wrapping an arm around his waist and finally looking up into the face of the Incubus. His smile was perfect and he looked down at her hungrily. Long black hair framed his royal blue eyes, his shirt open.
He'd look up and away from Mia, looking over to Carlos to see if he was stepping in anyone's territory, and that was when the whispers returned. Stronger, more prominent, unable to tell if they were her own thoughts or not.
-How dare he. You are not property. Does this incubus think you a pet?-
Mia would reach up quickly with her free hand, taking hold of the Incubus by the chin and turning his face back down to her.
-He looks delicious. Show him and everyone else in here you are no pet.-
Her hand released his chin, fingers trailing down his throat to finally rest upon his chest. His skin was warm, his cheeks flushed, his aura radiating. It was apparent to Mia he had fed recently, either before he arrived to the Reverie or more recently when the Vampire was dragged away.
"Mmmm. I bet you would feel amazing." A hungry grin slipping over her lips as they continued to dance.
The Incubus would only return a dangerous grin of his own, his aura and energy flaring at her words.
"Would you like to find out? Bring your sister too. We'll go have some fun."
"Why not here?" She'd ask, and tap her fingertips upon his chest. Red strands of energy would dance between her fingertips. The Incubus would stop dancing, his hand coming to rest upon her hand as he felt his heart skip a beat and begin to pound extra hard in his chest.
Mia would shiver as his energy drained down her arm. The Incubus' eyes would widen. He wouldn't really understand what was happening but he would place his hands upon Mia's shoulders in an attempt to push her away. Silvery blue eyes would flash and once again she'd tap him hard on his chest, the arcs of red tracing down those normally strong arms. His grip would inexplicably loosen, losing all feeling in his hands as both his arms would drop to his side. Mia kept her other arm wrapped about his waist and with an almost euphoric grin she'd just begin to drain it all. His dark flush skin would begin to turn pallid and almost blue, his black hair turning white from the roots, his brilliant royal blue eyes fading in color. This was so much different than when she had killed the illithid. She was so angry, and his energy just fueled that negative emotion. This... his energy was sensual. It felt amazing, like the high she had never been able to achieve before.
When there was nothing left she'd loosen her grip on his waist and let his body drop down to the dance floor. It was so subtle that no one really noticed what was happening above the hypnotic beats of the music the DJ was putting out until he fell like a rag doll. Someone would rush in, checking on the fallen man, their face growing pallid as they realized this girl had killed him.
Zella would turn then. She had not noticed it either, as she had moved back to dance with Alara and Carlos, assuming Mia had just found a play thing for the night. But the hair on the back of her neck would begin to stand on end as the whole mood shifted in their little confined area in the middle of the dance floor. In the middle of a large group of people. She'd stop, turning to see her sister just standing there over the body of the Incubus, grinning like she was high and running her fingers across the edge of her teeth.
The person checking out the dead one would stand, looking around for the shadow wraiths to intervene, for the owner to interject like he just had not too long ago. When nothing happened he felt like he needed to take actions into his own hands. The girl wasn't really moving or trying to get away.
"You Bitch!"
He'd swing a fist towards her and Mia would catch it in the palm of her hand, transferring the kinetic energy from his punch as well as a little extra that she had just absorbed through his arm. Every bone in the palm of his hand all the way up to his shoulder shattered with multiple fractures. The man would scream and the rest of the crowd around them would scatter, knowing better than intervene any more for fear of the owner's wrath. Mia's other hand would grab the man by the back of the head. She'd drop to her knee, using the momentum and his surge of pain to drive the man's face down into the concrete floor. He would go limp immediately, his skull completely caved in. Mia would slowly stand to her feet.
-More. This whole club could be yours. No one in here would be able to touch you. Take. It. All.-
"MIA!!!" Zella would yell, rushing over to her sister's side. She didn't understand what was happening, but her sister was family and if she needed to keep people off of her she would. Even though she knew they would just be defending themselves.
"Mia we must leave. You've broken the rules. We have to go now."
Mia would shiver as Zella's hand wrapped around her bicep. "Fuck the rules."
-Who even is this sad comparison to you. She should not exist.-
"No. No that's just Zella. She's fine."
Zella would look over and around to see who her sister was responding to. "Who are you talking to Mia?"
Mia would just roll her head over and grin. Another would charge towards the twins, looking to grab Zella but would never reach as Mia just grinned, making a waving motion with her hand. What appeared to be a female orc would fall and skid forward as her neck twisted unnaturally and she dropped to the ground.
Zella's grip on Mia's arm would tighten and she'd pull Mia now, those bi-colored eyes looking up towards the owner of this club who at this time hadn't yet moved. Mia chuckled, making a comment about how strong Zella was but otherwise following.
"Carlos. Alara." The whole club had silenced again. There would be no need to shout out to them as Zella motioned towards the door. Indicating for them to follow as well. She would worry that her sister's transgressions would cause repercussions for the new 'friends' they had arrived with.

Carlos was enjoying himself, his hips swaying in that incredibly sexy way that men of latin decent seemed to pocess, especially in his little circle of ladies, giving each a taste of them dancing hips. He’d see the incubus come up behind mia. It was impossible not to notice these things when you were this tall. She didn’t seem to mind, so he stopped paying attention, focusing on alara and Zella for the time being.
But something felt off. Why had Mia been so…so..nice? He thought for sure she was the type of woman that if she actually wanted to dance with someone, she’d force herself on them. Not allow an intrusion on her person. He’d let it go ignoring their conversation as it occurred near by and his sensitive hearing could pick up many things. It wasn’t until Zella was the next to leave the circle, after hearing someone yell calling another a bitch. It took him Mia running to Mia’s side screaming at Mia, that it dawn on him, that Mia was finally revealing her switchblade barbie side.
Danger will robinson. Danger. Was all that ran through his hand, instinctively he aggressively grabbed Alara’s hand in that in a form of urgency. As he stopped dancing as Mia took down a female orc and Zella called to the two of them.
‘We need to go. Now.’ He said looking down at Alara, his eyes having turned into full golden orange of his shifter eyes. Sensing the danger Mia had put them all in. He really didn’t want another unwanted vacation. But what was he supposed to do if the rest of the reverie suddenly tried to attack the women in his company? Stand by and let them all die? Or Try like hell with Zella to get the crazy bitch out of there before they all died or went on unwanted vacations.
Carlos’s long legs would close the distance between the four of them very easily possibly pulling or even lifting Alara along as he made his way to them. Including stepping over the dead incubus’ body. His free hand pressed firmly against the back of Mia’s shoulder opposite of Zella helping her steer her sister towards the exit. He just prayed silently Faruq wouldn’t hold him and Alara accountable for the crazy bitches freak out.
What the fuck had happened? Where did this side of mia come from. He hoped what ever she did wouldn’t affect him the same way by having physical contact with his shoulder as he was barely keeping himself contained. If only not to make Alara faint and inhibit their attempt at escape more difficult.

The music and dancing had been all Alara had noticed until everyone in her group stopped dancing. She saw a little bit of Mia taking down some female dressed weirdly. Alara's eyes widen and she looked up at Carlos noticing the change in his eyes. Even the full golden orange color was sexy and she had to shake that thought from her head. Now was not the time to be thinking of that. When he started to pull her behind him the drink dropped from her hand shattering on the floor next to the dead bodies. There was blood...and...was that brain stuff on the floor? Alara made a small noise half wanting to tug her arm free, why were they running towards the killer instead of a way from her? How did that make sense in Carlos's mind or even Zella's....but Mia was her sister what if she was a killer too?
Alara followed behind Carlos as quickly as she could what if Carlos was a killer too? Were they going to kill her now? She didn't know the answer to that but once she got a chance she was going to run, run as far as she could away from them, it had to be safer that way right? All she needed was Carlos to loosen his grip on her hand.

Faruq would marvel at the display, watching it all keenly. When the fear set it he supposed it was time to amend things before they got too far out of control. Whispering into his hand, he blew a kiss towards Mia and released her from his magicks, allowing her better inhibitions to return. Standing up, he brushed himself off and walked to middle of dance floor like a British inspector. Looking around coyly, he found the glass that had been hers and brought it to his nose, sniffing it. Pulling a face he raised his hand to the patrons.
"It would seem our young lady has been slipped a Mickey and is not quite herself. Given her mind has been tampered with, there is no violation of the Accords here. I assure you I shall find the culprit and deal with them appropriately....oh you know what, no one believes any of this. Damnation."
He would close his eyes as his tattoos would flare with light. The room would begin to shake as he drew upon the deepest of the Olde Magicks and whispered the names of long forgotten gods. People would begin to go ridgid, shaking as if they had epilepsy. One by one all of the creatures would begin to whimper as the djinn ripped the memory of the last hour from their minds. He left the quartet alone - he wasn't sure about Alara, but he didn't want to mess with Zander's guard dog or Tana's children. Though he was one of 3 djinn left in the world - and arguably one of the most powerful beings on the planet - there were still the Olde Laws to observe and Alliances to uphold. The hardest thing about being a djinn was the rules, binding and absolute.
After a long moment things grew silent. Wobbling a little on his feet, Faruq snapped his fingers at Zaid, who dropped a beat immediately. All of the other creatures began dancing as if nothing had happened, while the bodies of the deceased sunk into their own shadows as the wraiths disposed of them. Shambling over to his seat, Faruq nigh collapsed into it. Staring at Mia quietly, there was no doubt. This one had Illereas' bloodline in her. He almost pitied her for the fate that awaited her upon her death. While he could save her from it, she gave him the feeling she was too proud to ask. While Tanaphur had never mentioned her husband's name, he was sure it was young Nihilano or Atreyu. Only the blood of Damakos could do what she had done - such was the binding cost. The djinn shivered as if cold at the thought. For all his knowledge he had never considered heredity. This one was dangerous - of that he was certain.

The wandering reverie had gone quiet save for a the low white noise of patrons who either whispered about the situation or growled threateningly, but none would make a move towards the quartet.
Carlos' hand would be warm upon Mia's shoulder and silvery blue eyes would turn in his direction. Slowly her gaze would trace it's way across sweat covered tan skin. Her lips would part and she'd swallow as if parched, a wicked and all too mischievous smile coming to her face as her eyes met his golden ones. The effects of draining the energy out of the incubus would still be running through her system. She was twitchy, high, and was craving more. Luckily for Carlos, whatever she had done to the others was intentional and not something that would be activated by touch. Mia would only feel hot to the touch, as if she was radiating heat.
"Warn the town the beast is loose..." She'd sing, in the same tone as the childhood tune 'ring around the rosie, making a sound after that might be something like a peacock, only it brought forth a fit of giggles. She wished Morsus were here. He would've enjoyed ripping through this crowd with her instead of leading her to the door. It certainly would be a lot more challenging than the bar they wrecked in Russia. In fact why was she hesitating? Her giggles would cease in a heavy but delighted sigh as she reached up to wipe a stray tear from her gaze, the moisture evaporating upon contact with her skin. Eh, maybe it wasn't worth her time. Maybe when they left she'd just bring the building down atop everyone. See how they all liked that.
Zella frowned as Mia sang. Every fiber of her being was on high alert. Her muscles almost ached from the anticipation of attack and the smells... The blood Mia had spilled, the scent of animalistic aggression in the air. And fear... fear was another driving factor that made her feel like she wanted to rip off her own skin. But was this Mia's doing or her own nature. She wasn't sure and was afraid of the answer since she really wondered what that blood spilt upon the ground tasted like.
Zella cleared her throat, pausing her steps as Faruq began to speak and the whole crowd silenced to listen. Her hand would reach over to take hold of Carlos' arm to stop him from continuing on. There was a weird tingle that ran through her arm, and the pupils of her feline eyes dilated even further to where the blue and green iris would be nearly gone. She wouldn't understand that it was because he was having trouble controlling his beast. She'd shudder.
"Calm yourself." She couldn't help but to snarl out the words at to Carlos it would come across as a command. Though unintentional on Zella's part, the beast inside of him would begin to die down and the urge to shift lessen to something more controllable.
Mia would stop and look then to Faruq, a frown slipping across her features as she heard that her mind had been tampered with. She was about to push Carlos and Zella aside right when everyone in the building began to shake, the four of them seemed unaffected. Both the twins would look to each other. An unspoken conversation seeming to happen between the two of them as Zella shook her head, praying to whatever Gods above Mia would have enough sense than to attack or spout off to a creature that just did.... something... to every living thing in the room except for them.
Mia's eye would twitch.... still staring at Zella as the music kicked back on and everyone around them began dancing again as if nothing had happened. Mia would look past her sister to shoot Faruq an offended glare before looking back to Zella.
"I could set the building on fire..."
"Don't you dare."
Mia would look at Zella, aghast. Then look to Carlos. Did no one get the Office Space reference?
"I can't deal with you right now." And she'd turn to stalk out the door on her own volition.
Zella would sigh and feel her own muscles loosen as the threat of Mia going off had seemed to dissipate. But there was another issue at hand. Alara...
She could smell it, the fear that radiated off of the girl was almost a physical taste in her mouth. Savory and enticing. Zella would shake her head, still not quite used to these sensations and finding it harder to repress them since coming to this world. If she was having trouble, others in this place would as well. Alara didn't need this...
"Carlos. Would you kindly stay a moment and keep Alara close? I'm going to make a request..."
Her gaze would flicker up to Faruq then back to Carlos, hoping he would understand where she was about to go. Once she was certain he would stay, she'd move away and through the crowd, moving to where the now weary looking Djinn sat. She'd stand before him, crossing her arms over her chest. There would be no fear in her, only a healthy amount of respect for the power he wielded. That would keep her from being blindly angry, though by accounts they had a right to be. Instead, Zella didn't look mad... just disappointed.

At Zella’s command, Carlos could feel his beast calm down and settle his eyes bleeding to their normal honey brown. He’d shoot her a thankful look. Zander had removed a lot of Carlos’ safety nets, with his daughter in mind, never considering that the instinct could be carried over to anyone in carlos’ care. It had also made keeping Carlos’ beast in check a lot harder. As his first instinct was to protect, and with that came the beast. And if he was already on the path….well sometimes a good guard dog needed a sharp command to make them heel.
He would nod silently at Zella as she politely asked him to stay and wait. He’d glance down at fishbait, tuning into her heart beat and the smell of fear that seemed to be overpowering the smell of the ocean that clung to her skin. His shaved head would glance only briefly at Mia’s retreating figure, not sure if he should be relieved or worried that Mia was going to burn the place to the ground the moment she stepped outside its barriers.
Leaving the twins to their individual devices being left babysitting the fish, he’d shake his head trying to clear the remnants of his beasts presence before he’d look down at the scared girl. Gently he’d put his large palms on her shoulders turning her to look up at him. He’d even bend down enough that they’d be closer to eye level. Concern was evident in his voice and mannerisims as he glanced her over before looking into her eyes.
‘Are you ok? You’re not hurt right?’
He’d glance over at Zella. Zella he decided was the one with the actual bigger balls of the twins. Mia might act psychotic and crazy. Because clearly she was. But Zella….maybe she was the one that they actually needed to fear. Watching casually walking up to Faruq as she was. Carlos could only hold his breath instinctively pulling Alara closer in a protective manner, using his body to shield hers should something come from that direction.
This was it. He thought. Never. Fucking again. He was never fucking again coming to this damn cursed rave. Why? Because every single time he’d come there now, something or someone was trying to kill him or get him killed. And Carlos didn’t want to die if it wasn’t a trade for Atraya’s life for his. He didn’t want to die only to have Zander rip him back into a freshly mended meat suit, to continue to protect and serve Zander’s daughter.
And Zander didn’t have a gentle touch either. Which made the experiences all the more unpleasant and thus why he was eager to avoid said situations.

Alara didn't want to stay close. She wanted to get far away from them all at this moment. She wasn't sure how the man did it but the whole club was acting like nothing had happened that people weren't just murdered! Mia was gone now but the other two seemed to still want to go after her eventually and that was crazy. Alara wanted to run away but then Carlos hands were on her shoulders and looking at her with a look at her like that.
"I'm not hurt...but i think i'm the only sane one here....why are chasing after the murderer? You're not suppose to run to the person who'll kill you and what if she does try to kill us? I can't stop that...she didn.....she didn't have any weapons at all!" Alara hissed at him. He had to see how crazy that was right?

Faruq would stare at Zella tiredly, then laugh quite deeply. There was so much of her mother in this one. The Entitlement, the pre-disposition to judge, the heavy expectation of un-communicated desires. She was clearly inexperienced with the djinn, but he could hardly blame her. Only 3 still existed in this reality - and she was clearly a sheltered child. Moving to his seat and sitting it in tiredly, he chuckled as he appraised her.
"Zella, wasn't it? Please dismiss with your judgement and your disappointment, child. I'd hate to have to deal with your mother after I turned you into a rabid sloth or a vapid squirrel. Now tell me, what is it you want? Are you here to make a deal, or simply pontificate upon your empty morals and base desires? Or is it you want me to unlock the daugther of Poseiden's memories? They're always so complicated, those Greeks. But what do you expect out of a culture that devolved into a catch phrase for anal sex? So disappointing...them and the Romans. Such buggery displaced the glory of their philosophy and technology. Ah well...such is the base nature of humanity, I suppose. Now speak, child, before I consume your soul and tell your mother it was because you violated my rules. Even she would be bound by the Olde Ways, and while angry she would accept. Rules are rules, after all. But I am not unreasonable. Speak, then, and tell me of your desires. Your sister is eternally screwed unless I intervene...but tell me why I should. At very least tell me what you want. I have a headache, and the night is growing long. Don't be boring. I hate boring. And you look like you would be tasty with ketchup."

Zella's eyebrows would arch up. She hadn't yet said a word and yet here he was... giving her a verbal assault that contained no less than 3 threats and a dump of information. But that dump of information was a lot for her to unpack. She had thought to simply request he do the right thing and ease Alara's panic by erasing the memories of these last events, as it had seemed he had done for the rest of the crowd here. But... Daughter of Poseidon? She was certain she had heard of that name, if only from books about distant Gods within the libraries of Faerun. If anything, it would at least explain why fish bait smelled distinctly non-human and yet seemed to have no knowledge or understanding of the world around her. Her face soured a bit, that was unjust.
But then Faruq would mention her sister. Mia was family and it would almost confirm her suspicions that there was something wrong about her. She knew she was chaotic, at times silly, and had a knack for causing trouble. Through words of caution from her newly found Parents and through watching events unfold, she had come to learn that taking a life came easily and sometimes thoughtlessly for her family. She wondered, had she grown up with her family, would she too think along those lines. It was still something she had accepted as a consequence of learning where she came from and ultimately, who she was. But Mia had all but admitted to hearing voices tonight and that would cause her concern.
She'd sigh, her moment of thoughtfulness no doubt making the Djinn all the more impatient and yet, she did not feel as if she was in any real danger. Perhaps it was unwise of her, yet her instincts were usually sharp enough to tell her when to back away. He might've been annoyed but she had yet to break any of his rules.
"I had originally came to to you, oh gracious host, to see if you would do the right thing and alleviate our friend Alara's anxieties as it seems you have done for the rest of the crowd gathered tonight. But now, perhaps the right thing to do would be to return her memories to her instead of taking them away. It would not relieve her anxieties but perhaps at least... provide explanation and understanding to what she saw tonight. Seeing as her fears were caused by my sister, whom I've no doubt would've not made such a mess had her drink been tampered with. One shouldn't live in the dark when it pertains to what they are...."
She'd glance back to Carlos and Alara, perhaps too far away for either of them to hear what she had asked but at least still within eyesight. Alara wasn't fighting with him but the look in her eyes said that if Carlos would but let her go, she would be out the door. She'd look back then to Faruq.
"Perhaps then you'd do me a kindness. Why is my sister eternally screwed least you intervene? Then I may be able to tell you why you should."

Carlos’s hands would tighten ever so slightly on Alara’s shoulders giving the tiniest indication of the self restraint he was holding, in the firm grip in which he held her shoulders. His eyes would slide out of the honey brown and back into the canine amber. He was slowly starting to loose patience. The naivety up to this point had been kind of cute and endearing. But now they were in a situation where it was time for her to wake the hell up and realize the danger that they were all in, should the Djinn chose a whim. Heat would slowly rise off his body and circulate up her arms, as he started to let her feel his real energy, that he kept hidden in the presence of mortals. He wasn’t breaking the rules with this because he was simply letting Alara feel, that he wasnn’t human either.
‘We’re following her, because she has given us no choice Alara.’ He said his voice was quiet and calm. That weird erie calm that was simply put, terrifying. He’d let go of her shoulder long enough to point over in the direction of Faruq and Zella.
‘You better pray that whatever connections or Cojones Zella has, that she’s sucessful. Because if we don’t make it out of here before he makes a decision on whether or not we are considered guilty by association or not. We will either cease to exist or be ripped into a world of pain and suffering that will eventually make you go mad.’
He took a deep breath his grip tightening again. ‘I know this is all a lot to take in right now, and I’m sure you have questions, i know I do. But right now, you’ve got a decision you have to make. Do you want to die or live?’
‘If you want to die, thats your choice, and I will leave you here to face your destiny on your own. If you choose to live, than you need to trust me. I will do everything I can, to make sure no harm comes to you…but you have to trust me Alara.’
He’d straighten up to his full 6’7” figure gazing down at her a serious look on his face.
‘Time is ticking Alara. The choice is yours.’

Alara was quiet for a long moment. The warmth in his hands, the small squeezing of her shoulders...it made her scared. It was the first time since meeting the large man that she was actually afraid of him. She breathed in her brain going into over drive. She didn't need to stay with them to live right? She could escape and run home to hide in her room or she could even run to the ocean. Once she got in there was no way any of them were as good at swimming in those currents as she was right? Her eyes moved around not wanting to meet his gaze again, she didn't like the feeling the sexy man was giving her right now. The people around her still looked weird to her but for the first time she was starting to think that they weren't dressing up for some themed party. She was starting to think that she was the only normal one there and that made her more nervous. If that was true then maybe leaving with the people she came with wouldn't be wrong. Once they got out she could escape away from them...it would be easier that way running from three instead of who knows how many.
"I don't want to die...."

Mia stepped outside. Even in the dead of night LA’s air was warm and still. Humidity lingered and carried with it all the scents of an overpopulated city. Her mind and body still reeled from the events that just happened a moment ago. Fingers twitched and if she was honest she wanted to either go back in there and continue pulling people apart or she wanted to drag Carlos into some closet. Either would feel equally satiable at that very moment.
The music was thumping and the people lingering outside would give her a glance as if nothing had happened. It didn’t help the irritability of unsatisfied needs that was beginning to set in and so to not make more of a scene she’d just go sequester herself against a dimly lit and unoccupied side of the old building. She’d slump and slide down against the wall, her leg bouncing with excess energy with her butt planted firmly on the ground. Idly she’d reach into her jacket pocket and pull out a old pack of cigarettes. She had no idea how long they had been in there, as she so rarely felt the need to light one up, but she’d figure it out soon enough as she lit the end with but a thought and the stale taste filled her mouth. She’d make a dissatisfied face, but close her eyes and continue to inhale. She needed something to focus on.
*Think I can bum one of those?*
One of Mia’s eyes would crack open and look upwards to the figure standing not far from her. She’d snort, rolling her eyes and shrugging. She’d motion towards the half full pack laying on the ground just to her right. She’d close her eyes and let her head fall back roughly against the stone wall, the impact not seeming to bother her.
”Whatever. The fuck you doing here anyway? Didn’t we leave your old ass at the diner. Go the fuck home. Princess gets all weepy when you’re not around.”
A brief pause and the sounds of another cigarette being lit would fill her ears before he’d speak again with a light chuckle.
*You stopped singing. And I didn’t think you cared.*
”Look…” She’d grin, opening her eyes again, taking a quick drag and shaking her head. ”I like Princess. I do. In small doses. It’s fun to see that perfect mask crack.”
She’d chuckle and there would be a pause in the conversation. Her knee would start to bounce again.
*So what happened in there?*
”Nothing… apparently. Ask anyone around.”
He’d look at her flatly.
”Oh come on! I just… got the urge to have some fun. Turns out some BLUE GENIE LOOKING MOTHER FUCKER Decided to mess with me.” She’d yell that at this point. Maybe he could hear her, maybe he couldn’t. She didn’t care. She’d growl as she took another drag, the cigarette disappearing rapidly before blowing out the smoke with a growl. ”I should go back in there. Kick his ass.”
He’d shake his head, ashing out his cigarette.
*You can’t take him. Sit your ass down. What you need is more training. You’re effective with what you know but you’re wasteful. If you’d focus and think before you act you could improve your energy consumption rate by at least 25%. You should have let me show you countering.*
”Ugh… your fucking pitch pipe. I don’t sing.”
*The notes are just a metaphor for you to understand the principle of frequency and wavelength. A pitch. Something tangible you can hear and match. If you could hone your abilities to match the wavelength of any energy thrown at you, you could…*
He’d stop with another chuckle, glancing over to Mia before bringing the cigarette to his lips.
*...you could sit and pretend to ignore me like you did in Africa. Look, if not me, get Nihilano…*
”...Dad…”
*...get him to show you more. You’re stronger than you know Mia. Maybe strong enough to take on some blue genie fucker that messed with your head.*
She’d take another long drag, burning the cigarette down to the filter before tossing it aside. Her knee started bouncing again. ”Yeah? I don’t want to bother you. I’m not in a hurry. Go be a happy home maker. You’re going to be a great housewife and Dad.”
*Quit making me worry about you so I can. Go talk to Dad.*
”Fine. I’ll go talk to Dad.”
She’d look away. The Hummer was still parked in its same spot. Still no sign of Zella, Carlos, or fish bait. When she looked back he was gone. She’d huff, mumble something about being him thinking he was such a clever asshole and stand to her feet, grabbing the half full pack that sat on the ground just to her right, shoving it back into her pocket. Maybe she should check on them. Make sure they were okay. Maybe secretly hoping someone would try to start something so she could burn off this excess high.

The djinn would look to Zella with a heavy sigh, waving his hand while holding out the other. A standard double glass would appear with two ice spheres falling from nowhere into it as single aged scotch filled it up slowly. Holding it to his temple, he would stare at her quietly for a long moment. Reaching out his free hand, he'd caress her cheek into his palm, his eyes radiating the dimmest of ethereal blues.
"Everything has a price, my dear. I am not in the habit of gifting freely. But I will simply charge you some of your soul for the favor and the information. Pay close attention, because the two will tie together. Did you know that a soul is the single best battery in the multiverse? Right now I am leeching your soul energy, though it won't affect you. Think of it as sunlight to a solar panel - the sun simply radiates the light. To absorb it does not weaken it. Now for most deals I simply contract the soul. I eat it, dear. It fuels my magick and nothing can interrupt it...well, possibly Holy Magic might, but that hasn't happened in millenia, and honestly no one has that kind of faith these days. Anyway...just let me drink a bit...it won't hurt you in the slightest."
He would glance over at Carlos and Alara quietly, considering her request. The Greek gods never did anything without reason. It stood that it was usually petty and selfish reasons, but reasons nonetheless. He wondered what would happen if he freed the girl's mind. He supposed that would be entertainment enough. Letting his hand fall, he crossed his legs and palms in a meditative position, drawing a deep breath and exhaling. He would whisper in a deep baritone, uttering ancient words and shaking his head back and forth, swaying. After a moment of zen-like carrying on, he opened one eye and looked at Zella curiously. Rolling back into his chair he just laughed out loud.
"Nah...just kidding."
He would brink his hand around in a rolled wrist snap, and with the effort of will and magick removed any and all seals and protections on Alara's mind. Waggling his eyebrows at Zella, he took a deep gulp of scotch, though the level in the glass never lowered.
"Hopefully this will be entertaining. If not, I may just have to turn your boytoy over there into three small frogs in a blender. I don't know what about that always amuses me, but it's the small things I suppose."
He would take another pull of scotch before leaning forward and staring Zella in the eyes with a disturbingly serious look on his face. His voice carried a strange ancient weight to it as his fanged teeth showed themselves in a rare moment.
"Understand me, Zella - I do not do kindnesses. I make deals. The girl there, was a debt repaid. I opened a door for your sister that perhaps I should not have. As for the information you seek, if you wish it you will have to make me a bargain greater than the Oathbreaker did for my silence. His son tried once, but failed. Your brother tried once, and he failed. So unless you want to give it a shot and fail, I am bound to my previous bargain, and you'll not know the truth of it. Speak to your family young one...perhaps they'll enlighten you further."

Zella flinched as he reached up to touch her cheek, an instinctual reaction that through willpower alone kept her standing in place and not out of arms reach. Everything in her gut was telling her not to let him touch her, but for the sake of information, her mind told her it was a fair enough trade. So she'd stand there, straight as an arrow. Eyes of blue and green would grade down his arm to meet his face and those bright blues as he explained.
She'd release a breath she hadn't realized she was holding when his hand dropped away. He'd take up the meditative posture and she wouldn't question, only watch him with a curious tilt of her head. She really wasn't sure what it was he was doing. Save perhaps mocking her as he leaned back and began to laugh. She'd sigh almost in disappointment and almost missing the snap of his fingers. Had something happened? He acted as if it had but she sensed nothing.
Zella would curiously look over towards Carlos and Alara, trying to note any kind of reaction when her attention would be snapped back to the man with blue eyes once more. She could not help but to lean back as his face grew closer and his demeanor changed. Recognition seemed to fill her gaze however as he mentioned the title 'Oathbreaker'. She had heard that title before and recently no doubt. At a rather violent family gathering her first day within Terra.
Perhaps it was a bit foolish or naïve of her to think she could simply ask this demon of a man for information, but what experience had she ever had with a Djinn. Still, enough information was exchanged to where she at least had a starting point, as she doubted Mia would tell her anything.
Ever polite, Zella would take a step back, she'd place a hand upon the crescent moon symbol she wore upon a necklace which settled over her heart and she would dip her head into a shallow bow.
"This is fair. I will leave you then to your revelries. I thank you, Faruq."
One more glance upwards and she would turn to check on Alara and Carlos.
